Al JurczynskiSponsorship Sales ConsultantAl is a lifelong resident of the Capital Region. His adult life has been all about service to the community. He served honorably in the US Army during the seventies as a Russian Language Qualified Army Interrogator in Military Intelligence. Upon his return to his hometown of Schenectady, he became involved in grassroots community organizations. In the early eighties, he served as President of the Hamilton Hill Neighborhood Association, as well as, President of Schenectady United Neighborhoods. In 1983, he was elected to the Schenectady City Council and, at the time, was the youngest Councilman in the history of the City of Schenectady. In 1995, he was elected the 54th Mayor of The City of Schenectady.
After serving two terms (8 years), he was appointed by Governor Pataki to The Governor's Office for Small Cities and later became The NYS Assistant Secretary of State for Business and Licensing. He then worked in Law Enforcement Corrections for Montgomery County. |
