(ALBANY, NY)-- Albany Dutchmen picked up a 7-1 victory over Glens Falls Dragons, as Albany has now won all six meetings against Glens Falls on the season.
Albany led 4-0 after four innings, courtesy of a tremendous start from Michael DiMartino (UAlbany) who worked four shutout innings with four strikeouts. Ty Gallagher (Hobart) hit a two run home run to extend the lead to four runs in the bottom of the 4th and give the bullpen some breathing room.
Connor O’Neill (Manhattan) and Alex Brill (Ohio Dominican) combined for five shutout frames with seven strikeouts as the Dutchmen bullpen dominated.
The Dutchmen bats kept their foot on the pedal throughout the latter half of the game, as Austin Bode (Louisville) scorched an RBI double, which was one of three two-baggers that Albany racked up on the evening.
Albany advances to 14-9 and will continue the weekend homestand with a 6:35 first pitch against Mohawk Valley at Keenholts Park tomorrow night.
