2011 & 2012 Dutchmen Will Remillard

Will Remillard (Chicago Cubs): 2011 & 2012 Dutchmen Will Remillard (Coastal Carolina) hit his first home run of the season for the Chicago Cubs' minor league Class A affiliate, Kane County Cougars over the weekend. He also leads the team with a .340 batting average and is second with 15 RBI. He was a combined 5-for-8 with four extra-base hits and 6 RBI in a pair of games versus Wisconsin, and he finished a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate last Wednesday against Beloit.

 

Jake Welch (Notre Dame College): Recently signed right-hander Jake Welch notched his seventh win of the year for the Notre Dame College Falcons. He was perfect through 4.2 innings and carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning at Fairmont State. In 7.0 innings, he allowed two runs on three hits and struck out eleven batters. It was also his seventh complete game of the season.

 

Tyler Alitz (Garden City CC): Recently signed infielder Tyler Alitz continues his offensive prowess at Garden City CC. He went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run in a win over Longview. Alitz belted another home run the following day and hit an RBI double.

 

Kyle Pheland (Salve Regina): 2013 Dutchmen pitcher Kyle Pheland won his fifth game for the Salve Regina Seahawks in a 10-8 final at Eastern Nazarene. Pheland surrendered four runs, four hits, and and struck out four in 5.0 innings of work. Altogether, he has thrown 49.1 innings with a 3.28 ERA.

 

Adam Young (UC Davis): 2012 Dutchmen infielder Adam Young went 2-for-4 with an RBI in a 4-2 loss to UC Irvine. He is third on the team with a .347 batting average. In addition, Young has 14 RBI and scored 17 runs.
